Selenium-enriched products are foods that have been fortified with selenium, an essential trace element for human health, which is present in foods in different chemical forms. Therefore, selenium-enriched products could be applied as human food to reduce deficiency problems and deliver health benefits. For the selenium-enriched products we certified, it is necessary that the absorption and conversion of selenium is in living organisms, so any form of selenium supplementation after harvest or during processing is not allowed.
